How to Brew the Perfect Cup of Assam Tea

Tea Guide

Getting the best flavor from your tea starts with how you brew it. Here’s our simple guide:

  1. Use fresh water — Always start with fresh, cold water brought to a rolling boil.
  2. Measure your tea — Use about 1 teaspoon of loose tea (or 1 tea bag) per cup.
  3. Steep time matters — For CTC/strong Assam tea, steep 3-4 minutes. Over-steeping can make it bitter.
  4. Add milk after brewing — If you enjoy milk tea, add milk after the tea has steeped, not before, for a fuller flavor.
  5. Sweeten to taste — A touch of sugar or honey balances the natural brisk character of Assam tea beautifully.

Try this method with any of our Novbhaar blends, and taste the difference that quality tea and proper brewing makes.
